IT’s year of happiness, and some serious businesses for Happiest Minds

It’s a great fund to start from the scratch. I certainly enjoyed the experience. When I look back, in one sense it looks like yesterday. On the other side, it also gives a sense of feeling that “Oh God, we have done so much; how could we do it in such a short span,” Soota said in an exclusive interaction with Business Standard.

In search of the Happiness Code

“I have set up Happiest Minds with 12 co-founders. All of us have the same objective. We are clear that people are key to any service organization. Very few companies are built on the belief that happy employees can give rise to happy customers. Our entire organizational focus is builtaround this theme.”

Customer connect

“A Cloud-based CRM application, integrated with POS systems, allows a retailer to make sure that a sale is consummated by offering real-time contextual offers and suggestions that take into account the customer’s prior history and social media activity. Another benefit in having a Cloud solution is that it allows the retailer to expand in a much more cost-effective manner.” says Salil Godika, of Happiest Minds Technologies.

How Ashok Soota’s ‘Happiest Minds’ managed to succeed in a $100 bn IT industry

“I started this company with an aim to focus on the new disruptive technologies, which include cloud, analytics, big data, mobility and unified communications. To use them to create transformational solutions for our customers and be able to interfacing these new technologies with older legacy systems – that I think is the new story. One year down the line, I would say we have made tremendous progress. We see large traction in retail, travel, hi-tech etc. Telecom is another area where we have customers. We got 45 million dollars of funding and have 24 customers across the world in all businesses.” says Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman, Happiest Minds Technologies.

Beginning a Successful Entrepreneurial Journey: Ashok Soota

How to begin a successful entrepreneurial journey? How to transform an idea into a successful enterprise? Most businesses are founded on the basis of an idea. The idea could be a new product, a new service, a new business model, or capitalizing on new technologies. As in case of Happiest Minds the technology we focus on is cloud, mobility, social media and analytics. There has to be something new in the sense that it triggers an opportunity.
